James Blundell ‘Live & Intimate’ at an inaugural CLUBHOUSE SOIREE (Which will also include personal Q & A time with the audience)

James Blundell Live & Intimate

One of Australia’s finest singer songwriters, James Blundell will be ‘live and intimate’ - performing hits and sharing stories at the inaugural ‘Clubhouse Soiree’ at Curlewis Golf Club on Friday June 16, 2017.

Including a three course dinner prepared by acclaimed Curlewis Head Chef, Tara Thyer and team, this very special show will provide a unique experience to get up close and personal with a true icon of Australian country music.  James will be performing all his hits and others as well as sharing some intimate stories whilst also allowing for personal Q & A time with the audience.

An inductee into the Australian Country Music Hall of Fame, James was the first young Australian country artist to create an impact on the mainstream pop charts and is one of the highest selling country artists in the nation.  As the first Australian country act to sign a major label recording deal in Nashville, James paved the way for the likes of Keith Urban, Kasey Chambers and others. In addition to his own success, James has penned hits for Lee Kernaghan, Slim Dusty and Jimmy Little. James has been the recipient of nine CMAA (Country Music Association of Australia) Golden Guitar Awards and has been nominated for his 10th Golden Guitar for 2016 along with double platinum, platinum and gold sales awards.  He is a five time ARIA (Australian Record Industry Association) Awards recipient.

2017 has seen the launch of James’ fourteenth album, "Campfire". The concept of the album was unearthing songs with great stories and telling them the way you would around a campfire. The songs have been stripped to their core, allowing the stories to breathe and the emotions take flight.  For the release, Blundell assembled a track listing to include tracks recorded by Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Cyndi Lauper, The Wallflowers, The Eagles, Cold Chisel, Bob Dylan, Paul Kelly and John Cougar Mellencamp.

Guests on the album include The Wolfe Brothers, Anne Kirkpatrick, Tania Kernaghan, Bec Lavelle, Paul Costa, Cameron Daddo, Hamish Davidson, Lawrie Minson and newcomers Jonny Taylor, Abigail Grace and Liam Kennedy-Clark.

Tickets include three course dinner and show with drinks at bar prices.   $75 for Curlewis Members or $85 for non-members.
