Course Layout, Curlewis Golf Club, The Bellarine

To play Curlewis is to fall in love with this iconic 'emerald' of The Bellarine.  With a sandy base, a minimum of trees and naturally undulating couch fairways the links type course is considered one of the best on the Bellarine Peninsula.  Officially the fastest growing club in Australia, in the last 12 months Curlewis has catapulted up the national rankings ladder to be currently listed as 78th of Australia's Top 100 courses.

With challenging bunkers, firm and fast greens it is the wind however that often determines the level of playing difficulty.

Spectacularly situated overlooking Corio Bay, there are many vantage points boasting beautiful vistas for up to 50km, including the scenic You Yangs mountain range. The course measures 6,150 metres from the championship marks and is a challenging par-72.  A challenge for players of all standards and a true test of golfing ability.

Distances to the centre of each green are marked on sprinkler heads and at 150m on each fairway.

A chipping green with practice bunker is situated between the clubhouse and 18th fairway, while a practice putting green is located immediately outside the Golf Shop.

Practice nets and warm-up area are located adjacent to the parking area.

Please note: No drivers, fairway woods or hybrids are permitted in the warm up area (Irons only). This is due to close proximity of a public walking track beyond the course boundary.

Members can enjoy the separate, exclusive driving range located at the western end of the course accessible via Portarlington Road.
